Overview:
The FBI has created an Information Sharing Initiative ("ISI") as part of a national program that has been developed and tested through a highly structured effort entitled the "FBI ISI Program”. The program will be provided regionally and will continue to evolve as it is implemented around the country.
Select content will vary regionally so as to address information sharing issues and practices pertinent to the private sector and the FBI.
For the Private Sector: The intent is to provide InfraGard members with a tailored approach to better understanding information sharing as a means to protecting our nation, and their companies, against the threat of terrorism and to support the counter-terrorism based efforts of the regional offices of the FBI.
For the FBI: The Information Sharing Initiative program will provide a unique look at the information needs of the private sector, specifically, as they relate to identifying, handling, and protection of the information needs of the private sector.
Who should apply?
Private Sector representatives (i.e. Senior executives, in-house attorneys, and privacy and security executives with senior level responsibilities, or their designates) who represent at least one of the 16 Critical Infrastructure/Key Resource categories. If an InfraGard member does not fit the aforementioned role, they can sponsor a representative from their employer who does.
Registered applicants will receive an email from the NPS-CAW within approximately 5-7 business days confirming whether the program could or could not accommodate their attendance. If attendance could be accommodated, the confirming email will provide additional detailed information for planning purposes.
